5/5 “You better love your long irons” – Ugrooved
I really love to make the trip up to The Bridges to play a really long course that is tough but fair (Black Tees are over 7600 yards). This time of year, there isn’t much grass on the fairways and the greens are rolling at a medium speed. The staff here is very friendly. This course allows all golfers that play the tees that match your skills, although it is kinda funny to spot the white tees 100 yards at times. The housing development has been slow to grow but it doesn’t take away from the golf experience.
5/5 “Wonderful Course” – Anonymous
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The course was in great condition, and was challenging but not to much. The round went at a good pace concidering it was a busy Saturday. This is a wonderful course and a real treat to play.
5/5 “I came, I came back, and I will continue coming back…I enjoy the style and challenge of the tract.” – WYO65
This was the 2nd time playing The Bridges in ’13. What I enjoy about the course is its seclusion and ramble. It is quite windy until late afternoon and this makes the elevated greens difficult targets and slick. It is a challenging track in surprising ways. It doesn’t have the appearance of being tough, but it has its way with you. I have to say that the sand traps here, even though some are under re-construction, the sand and the hitting experiences getting out can not be matched by any other Texas courses. It is great sand, and there is plenty of depth to the sand to be fair. Play this course for a real country treat. It is in good condition. It will be in pristine condition with some additional spring rain and as the wind dies down. Some of the holes on this course are quite entertaining in character and challenge.
5/5 “Best course on golfnow DFW” – Yates8dc
This course is well worth the drive to get out there. It is a difficult course but right now it is wide open (no houses) so nearly every shot is playable. It is only going to get more difficult as the houses start being developed but that seems at least a year away. I played on March 2 and the greens and fairways were perfect. I can only imagine how awesome it will be in the spring, summer and fall.
